Regency has been in business for over 70 years. Founded in 1933, Regency incorporated under the present ownership in 1979. Built on expertise and practical principles, Regency has become known as a dependable company providing professional, reliable and courteous service.

The owner, Steve Summerton has over 30 years of experience in the limousine transportation business. He continues today as  hands-on manager that knows and understands the various travel needs of clients and recognizes how to prevent problems before they interfere with providing efficient, dependable, prompt and safe service.

Regency Limousine is located 50 miles from New York City. Every employee, from the chauffeurs to the dispatchers to the reservationists, are well versed in the idiosyncrasies of vehicular travel in the "Big Apple".

Winner of the very prestigious NLA Operator of the Year Award, Regency has grown to be one of the largest limousine companies in the nation. In the year 2003, Regency was again selected to receive this honor which makes us the only company in the country to earn 3 national awards for outstanding performance.

OUR EMPLOYEES

Chauffeurs - All Regency chauffeurs undergo intensive and comprehensive training, including in class hours and over-the road instruction. They must also complete the New England Driver Behavioral School. Particular emphasis for this certification, is intensive training on defensive driving and safety techniques and habit identification. Each chauffeur undergoes a refresher course every two years. We are a drug-free company, with every driver drug tested periodically.

Our drivers are uniformed, multi-lingual, experienced professionals. They also must complete a 2 day training class entitled "How to be a Professional Chauffeur".

Reservationist - Each reservationist is individually trained in taking reservations. They are specialists in assisting with wedding plans, extra stops and special amenities for your limousine. They are knowledgeable about "places of interest" in addition to being pleasant and efficient.

Dispatchers - Our dispatchers are trained to efficiently maneuver our fleet of 35 cars, with extra attention to detail. They monitor all incoming flights at any airport where a Regency passenger is inbound. The two-way radio transmissions create the smooth, efficient communications our customers have come to expect. The chauffers are also equipped with belt pagers for extra communication security.

Modern computized systems - Everyone here employs our systems: from the reservationists who record, retrieve and verify trip information to our dispatchers for monitoring efficient communications and trip information, to our drivers for maintaining accurate trip logs, and our staff for accurate accounting and billing functions.

All of our people are courteous, accommodating professionals and are Customer service oriented

REGENCY LIMOUSINE IS ALSO VERY PROUD OF THE FACT THAT ONE OF OUR OWN CHAUFFEURS WAS AWARDED THE TITLE OF "NATIONAL CHAUFFEUR OF THE YEAR-2000" BY THE "LIMO DIGEST MAGAZINE", THE TRADE MAGAZINE FOR THE LIMOUSINE WORLD.

THAT AWARD IS THE MOST HIGHLY RATED ACHIEVEMENT THAT CAN BE GIVEN TO SOMEONE IN THE LIMOUSINE INDUSTRY.

THIS PARTICULAR CHAUFFEUR WAS ALSO RECOGNIZED BY THE CONNECTICUT LEGISLATURE GENERAL ASSEMBLY ON NOVEMBER 7, 2000 AND WAS AWARDED AN OFFICIAL CITATION ON THE FLOOR OF THE HOUSE IN HARTFORD, CT.

AS PROUD AS WE ARE OF THIS GENTLEMAN, IT WOULD BE HARD TO PICK HIM OUT FROM ANY OTHER CHAUFFEUR WITH REGENCY. THEY ARE ALL THAT GOOD!!!

Our Fleet

The company’s fleet of late model sedans, limousines, vans and SUVs ( See other vehicles) are constantly maintained at peak performance and impeccable cleanliness through a rigid management inspection policy. All Regency vehicles are detailed and maintained daily. Regency Limousine retires their cars after three years of service and replaces them with custom built limousines and brand new sedans. A complete maintenance log is kept on each car.

Regency Limousine vehicles contain all of the customer conveniences and amenities needed to ensure smooth, pleasant, and efficient trips. 

Our fleet of sparkling and elegant limousines provide for seating from 4 passengers in a sedan and up to 9 people in a Stretch. Regency wants your trip to be a pleasant experience. Let us know what extra amenities can make your trip more comfortable.

Insurance - The fleet is insured for $1,500,000 per vehicle as required by the ICC (Interstate Commerce Commission) and are licensed and permitted by both the ICC and State of Connecticut DOT (Department of Transportation).

We are members of the LOC (Limousine Operators of CT) and the National Limousine Association. We also possess all legitimate intrastate and interstate livery permits.
